the above is the conversation between geping dage & me.
charity is never a hard task. it’s whether you want to do it or not. not to mention, this is not just for children, but for children who are not well & might not be able to see their future. & yes, i’m praying that there’ll be miracle somehow, if it’s not for all, but at least, for most of them. i hope my message will incite them to fight for their lives positively & happily.

“clubhouse husbands” or “daddy at home”? which do u prefer?
“daddy at home” sounds more cute & appealing to me..& there’s contrast to “daddy at work”, which says all (the story line)!

firstly, i would like to thank everyone for being so sweet, concern & supportive over the news of me recently! it really put a smile across my face when i read your comment!
as you know, i’m busy filming the up & coming serial “clubhouse husbands”, it would be a bonus for me if you could focus on my performance too!
sometimes it’s quite fun to act. you get to work with different people, explore chemistry between yourself & co-star & even swap partners! heh! i was given a chance to play chen hanwei’s wife in “my school daze”, chemistry between us was splendid! & now my co-star is li nanxing! you know what? cynthia koh is in “clubhouse husbands” too, playing chen hanwei’s wife! in “the ultimatum”, cynthia was nanxing’s wife..so that means, we swap partners in our current drama “clubhouse husbands”! isn’t that interesting? haha…
swapping partners will only happen in acting life, i’m too conservative to do that in real life!

May has been a very busy month for me, the peranakan ball, variety shows, event appearances, road shows, “true hearts” rehearsals & preparation work of new drama “clubhouse husbands”, & only one’s down — the peranakan ball..whoo!
i did a variety show “driving miss foodie” with host dasmond 2 days back. it was fun & plus the fact that he’s my buddy! we tasted italian food, cookies & tidbits as well as cantonese food! all yummy!!! i’m quite particular when it comes to italian food & i’ve been trying to look out for a really authentic one in singapore. a-ha & i’m glad i did the show cos i found this italian restaurant & i have 1 more place to dine in future!
i always love aglio olio & my friends know that i will definitely eat that whenever i’m in an italian restaurant..they always say i’m boring but i must say i like vongole too..& SQUID INK PASTA!!! La Braceria located at 5 greendale avenue, has really good squid ink pasta & i reckon you should try it!
this dish is super yummy though it looks like a worm to me..haha..what do you think this is? it’s also a must-try dish!

lastly, if you wanna bring your family for a wonderful chinese dinner, i would recommend WO PENG restaurant at 476 mcpherson road.

two more days to the musical! i sure am nervous & excited!
we had trial makeup few days back & we were so “high” & cameras were flashing non-stop, caused a little chaos before full dress rehearsal started! the reason is because we’ve never tried stage play & musical, so it’s “fresh” to see my friends wearing “3D makeup” for the first time! dyt was the most excited one, jumping up & down, amazed by the makeup on his face! there was 2 other moneky girls, screaming & couldn’t stop making noise & i want to prepare some of you who will be catching the musical this saturday, that if you happened to get the “meet the casts after” tickets, please don’t be shocked by our makeup..it’s supposed to be that way so that those sitting right behind can see us, somehow.

you might be wondering why i wasn’t wearing makeup..because my makeup artist was not there that’s why i was excused!
came home from training @ silra home, practiced chinese instrument Yang Qin with 83 year-old uncle mr chia, who has leprosy since age 21. the training was supposed to last for 2 hours, but as the swine flu has reached amber point, we were told to leave the home asap after 45 mins of training. of course we must respect & obey, the folks’ lives are in priority.
mr chia told me story of his past, because i said i was amazed by the power of his memory at his age. he can play Yang Qin quite well & memorised every note. although there’s limitation in his movements, he’s very optimistic & is working very hard..he wants to make the charity show a successful one. his has high morale & i admire him.
as you can see, mr chia’s fingers are affected by leprosy, yet he’s still practicing very hard.
i had a lesson in life today
this is the Yang Qin i bought for self-practice at home. hopefully our team work will bring your kindness to the charity show
there’s rehearsals for “the peranakan ball” 6 days a week & everyday, i look forward to the rehearsals!
we do scene work, choreography & vocal. rehearsals seem like fun! we work hard play hard & are enjoying ourselves! & i made some friends too!
