training @ silra home

came home from training @ silra home, practiced chinese instrument Yang Qin with 83 year-old uncle mr chia, who has leprosy since age 21. the training was supposed to last for 2 hours, but as the swine flu has reached amber point, we were told to leave the home asap after 45 mins of training. of course we must respect & obey, the folks’ lives are in priority.

mr chia told me story of his past, because i said i was amazed by the power of his memory at his age. he can play Yang Qin quite well & memorised every note. although there’s limitation in his movements, he’s very optimistic & is working very hard..he wants to make the charity show a successful one. his has high morale & i admire him.  

 

as you can see, mr chia’s fingers are affected by leprosy, yet he’s still practicing very hard.

i had a lesson in life today  

this is the Yang Qin i bought for self-practice at home. hopefully our team work will bring your kindness to the charity show
